SALT Chinese New Year Celebration
Saturday, February 3 (11 a.m. – 4 p.m.)
SALT at Our Kakaʻako celebrates the Year of the Dog, with a traditional Chinese New Year celebration and more. Festivities include a Chinese lion dance and live entertainment. The theme of “Pets on the Patio” invites animal lovers to bring their pets to enjoy SALT at Our Kaka’ako while they ring in the new year.

The nonprofit Hawaii Fi-Do will share about its mission to provide trained service dogs to people with disabilities other than blindness in Hawai‘i and related education to the community.
Dogs, accompanied by their owners, are welcome to hang out on the patios of SALT at Our Kakaʻako tenants, including the common areas. The first 50 dogs to arrive to “Pets on the Patio” will receive a special treat courtesy of Poi Dog Treats.
The Narcissus Queen and Court will make an appearance and be available for photos.

Happiness U Lifestyle Studio at SALT hosts a free public talk, starting at 3 p.m. Astrologer, author and life guide Alice Inoue of Happiness U will share her forecast of the upcoming 2018 Year of the Earth Dog and what it means to people. Happiness U is located on the second floor, above Bevy Bar and down the hall from Hungry Ear Records.

At Hungry Ear Records, dog owners with their pets can get 10 percent off new or used vinyl albums in the shop. Dog must be present to redeem offer.
