MASTER PLAN

Exciting things are happening in Kaka‘ako. Walk the streets of Our Kaka‘ako today and you’ll see that it’s a major site for redevelopment activity. Centrally located along Ala Moana Boulevard and minutes from downtown Honolulu, Our Kaka‘ako is building a community on the foundation of our arts and culture visionaries. The innovation, activism and creative spirit found in Our Kaka‘ako is turning this thriving neighborhood into the new social epicenter of Honolulu.

Kamehameha Schools has planned a mixed-use, mixed-income neighborhood featuring a wide range of housing including low-rise residences and high-rise towers, inviting green spaces, complete streets, networked walking paths and unique retail experiences.

“Six Eighty” on Block F was Kamehameha Schools' first completed project in Our Kaka‘ako. It converted an office building into 54 loft-style rental apartments. On Block E, construction is underway on “The Collection” by A&B Properties. On Block B1, work has started on Castle & Cooke Hawaii’s “400 Keawe” and a new rental project, self-developed by Kamehameha Schools next door on Block B2. Look forward to Stanford Carr Development’s “Keauhou Place” on block A1 and new rentals on block A2. “Vida at 888 Ala Moana” by MK Development will commence construction later this year on Block I.
